1) What air intake kit is that? Does it make a NOTICABLE difference?

2) The exhaust is really low to the ground? I hope you don't get snow where you live. Also, how much louder is it? 1.5X 2X 3X...?

3) What are those door sills? Are they stick ons or replacements?

4) what's the third picture mod? The Hose that's all dusty?
1.Perrin intake. It makes noticeably more noise{BOV and turbo are loud}. I took it off last Saturday and it is for sale on Ebay now.

I did not notice much power gain. It also was a little boggy off the line.

2. I do get snow. It will be fine. If I can get around in American cars with 1 wheel drive{lowered too} than this machine should do ok.

3. Stick on.

4. That is the downpipe from the turbo. It is wrapped and sprayed with a high temp silicon coating.

I have focal 6.5 poly glass separates up front. Focal access 5.25 in rear doors. A JL 250/1 for the JL W3 12" sub and a JL 300/4 for the speakers. I like it!

I remember hearing something along the lines of the increased air volume augmented the mixture slightly......and there might be a small bit of heatsoaking. I can imagine air drawn from the front, then down to the fenderwell where its cool, then back up to the engine bay would have quite a bit of time to cool off before it hits the combustion chamber. There is a thread on the relationship between intake location and heat, might wanna look it up if you're interested.

I can't believe that intake ws no good! Wow. I wonder why it was no good?
I had the doors dynamatted as well as the trunk. I cannot hear the exhaust when the tunes are cranking.

Don't know about the sort ram. I have read a bazillion threads regarding the issue and there are lots of conflicting reasons. All I know is that it did not make me happy. I could have tolerated more noise IF there was some performance benifit. The exhaust is loud but it has MAJOR performance.

TurboXS dyno had a 27.8 WHP gain.

I would say it is 2 to 3 times louder than stock.

JSpec painted it for me. The closest match to our dash{ so they said} is AEM Ford Smoke.
