Just got mine

Well I just got back from the dealership an hour or so ago, just picked up my '04 STi! I am loving the car already, handles great, awesome acceleration, smooth ride, I love it!

Now here's the question, are there any manufacturers that make a CAI for the car? I would also like a nice BOV, but dont want to have to do any custom work to get it.

I should have the windows tinted and a turbo timer on it by tomorrow, gonna be saweeeet!

From everything I have heard, you are wasting your money to go for a cold air intake. If you want more airflow go for a K and N.

Can you explain why it would be a waste of money to go with a CAI?

If you want a simple explanation, refer to this thread in the ClubWRX forum. Refer to the post by "God" in the thread. Dan aka "God" of Godspeed Motorsports has already done extensive testing of mods to his STi already and he could probably give you a more extensive explanation as to why it would be essentially a waste of $$ to put a CAI on your STi(or any other turbo car) if you email or PM him.

Here is the link to the thread:

"Why is the Blitz intake better than the AEM... "

Hope this helps,

I have also read that a turbo timer is not necessary. You could spend your money better there...

Thank you! I'm already loving it

As for the TT, I just want one to prolong the life of the turbo a little more, just the first mod of many on the list

I did find these gauges http://www.j-spectuning.com/omori_rr.htm supposed to be a perfect match to the STi gauges. Anyone have experience with them?
