prepare to shell out 36k.. $30,995 car (assuming u in line already - more if u want car now and not on the dealer list yet), + taxes (4-9%), plus documents fees (DMV, registration, etc.) + Insurance (like $1000+ for a year).. Get ready to shell $36k.. and have spare $ for gas, tolls, winter tires, etc..
imho: give it a year maybe a little more and people will be buying STI's for 500-1000 above invoice rather than msrp. I love the STI but ... theres alot cars out there and most people arent fanatics like me (and this club). Anyone else see the new supra thats gonna be released (n/a unfortunately) ...just more competition for the STI.

buddy... i dont have $32,000 sitting around, i have $26,000 saved up. and im trying to say is that i hope i can afford an sti.. but i have to earn about another 5K or 6K to be in the sti price range.. and loans are bad because it has interest... so paying off totally for the car is a big advantage because you can have what ever insurance plan you want and not have to pay the interest. loans are good.. but their is a price to pay for financing a car eventually.

I agree. Don't pay all of it in cash! Take out a 2-3 year loan for the other $6k! This won't be much in interest no matter what your rate is. In fact, take out the 3 year loan and pay it off in one if you have the cash.
This way you build up an excelent credit rating! Unfortunately, the only way to get good credit is to take out loans.
