how much did u sti owners pay?
$32,219 (MSRP; floor mats, alarm, wheel locks, boost guage, arm rest), From Stevens Creek Subaru (San Jose). After I told the guy I simply would not pay a mark up, Jeff there bargained with me to add the stereo, normally $1,400 plus, that's right $1,000. Which I agreed to originally. But luckily they didn't have the stereo in stock, and in the mean time I had time to think about that damned $2,400 stereo. So finally with my mind made up, I called Jeff back and told him...don't want the stereo, that I want to cancel it... originally he said, "I'm not cancelling nothing, we have a contract", but I told him he mislead me into thinking that I'd be hard pressed to get one at MSRP, which isn't true. He finally agreed and so we omited the stereo on the rewrite of the contract, which we had to do anyway for my improved interest rate (now 5.24%).

I have another question. Im paying $31,990.00 plus tax & tag. On top of that I'm buying the 3 year service plan which includes oil changes. My dealship is offering a lifetime warranty on powerpant and tranny as long as the car is serviced there and the owner doesn't change. That is an additional $800. Is anyone else opting for scheduled service? On top of that I'm buying the PERFORMANCE GAUGE PACK with housing, carbon fiber interior, mirror/compass, arm rest, wheel locks, upgraded security system, and rubber floor mats. I was able to get all the options at what was posted on the Subaru website (sealership has marked them up 30%). They do want to charge me $1000 to install it all. If I do, it will be all covered under the warrranty. Is that labor too much money?

$32,708 + tax, license, etc. added came out to $35,500 with Security upgrade, wheel locks, and armrest extension. Base price was MSRP + $749 mark up but he gave me $1,000 more for my trade-in than other dealers had offered, so I figure I actually paid less than MSRP.
Andrew also made me good deal on upgraded sound system, 6 disk CD, AM-FM radio, cassette player.

I've bought about 15 cars in the past and this was the best buying experience I've had!
