I know its a little weird but will the STi have this?

 

It won't have a fold-down rear seat, just a pass-through arm rest.

 

No pass through in the US, only in Canada. Don't ask me why, but thats what the specs say. Check some of the autoshow pics. You can see the blank where is should be in the trunk.

 

Also, only to Canada is a full stereo and 6 CD changer and sub. The headlights however are tungsten-halogen, not HID because of canadian Gov'T. We can get the HID headlights but it's an expensive dealer option.

 

What kind of board are you talking about, the pass-thru on the current WRX is about 8"x14" (from recollection). The Canadian Sti will be no bigger. I only found it usesful to put my fishing rods thru.

 

ya thats gonna be a problem takin my snowboard to the mountain.. roof rack would be ok, or i'll let someone else carry my board :P /shrug

 

I wander how hard it will be to take the seat out. I want to do it for a stereo installation. I have diamond audio amps which are huge and wanted to make a plate where the seat was to mount them on inside the cabin.

 

will someone *please* photoshop a snowboard rack onto an STi.. maybe it'll look alright.. i'd just have to take it off for racing :/

i mean, it would fit inside the car and still be able to take passengers but its a pain and would move around too much drivin around those corners

or i'll just have to get some ***** to take it for me, heh

 

The reason for the lack of pass-through or fold down seat in the STi is simple: the intercooler spray tank is located in the trunk, directly behind the seat. Pictures of this tank are available somewhere out there. I have seen them. I can't recall where...
