Check Engoine Light Come On?

QUESTION FOR ANY ONE THAT CAN HELP?
CHECK ENGINE LIGHT IS ON AND CRUISE LIGHT IS FLASHING!!!
HELP PLEASE!!!

If you do not have an engine code analyser, take it to a motor spares shop and ask if they will run the code for you. My local Autozone will read the engine code for free. This will tell you what has triggered the warning. A few of the early STi's had leaky seals around the fuel filler that gave engine warnings such as yours. Search the forum for 'engine warning light' for more details.

Hey we all down here in Virginia can't do all that!

Your cruise is flashing due to the fact that you MIL light illuminated. As soon as the code is read and cleared everything will work just fine again.

The new STI's have a built in "feature" that will disable your cruise control any time the check engine light is activated. This occured to me twice. First as a result of the dealership not tightening the fuel cap fully when they "gave me" a fill up at delivery and the second instance was due to my turbo charger blowing off a vacum line. Both since rectified and no further problems, etc. Good luck with your STI, I can't say enough about mine.
