Changes you'll make to your STi
first and foremost the rear wing and wheels have to go. i want a much more subdued rear wing and i'm surprised subby isn't making that an option. i'm sure that wing will do nothing aerodynamically under say 100mph. i want some gunmetal te37's instead of those gold things. also the hood scoop is gonna be 86'ed. i want a c/f hood with no scoop. i'm gonna re-locate the i/c to the front spoiler. someone with a regular wrx would surely jump at the chance of buying the wheels/hood/and trunk from an sti. anyonelse gonna change anything?

Yep, I'll be removing the wing first thing. I'd prefer to replace it with something smaller, but if nothing's out there, I'll leave it wingless until something better turns up..
Also want a smaller hood scoop.. but I'll probably leave the IC where it is..

Obviously, I agree about hood and wing. Since you will be able to get silver wheels, the stock ones will be perfectly fine, especially since they are forged.

will be adding:
Gold gram lights 57pros 18 x 8
Tein type flex coilovers w/ edfc
WRC wing
Defi BF 60mm gauges w/ center gauge pod
Kenwood 911 cd/dvd player with speaker upgrades
oh and my HKS carbon TI exhaust if it fits from my WRX
thats about it for the first couple of months ( keeping the wheels and tires by the way. )

metoo, thanks for the link. thats about what i want to do! only in silver or white. i'd like some aero mirrors, tinit the windows. i like the front lights. i'll prolly do some stuff on the inside too. i'm not to hot with the blue seats. i wish they had an option to make them black, and keep the sti symbol.

Lets see, after the warranty is over....
All the necessary gauges for possible future upgrades before any modifications. I kind of want to see the temps and boost when the car is all stock before I beef it up.

bought a *** magazine today
called "car mode Evo"
nothing but Evo and STis
so damn good!!
even *** magazine is better than ours!
grRRRR!!!
i saw so many ridiculously fine @ss accessaries on the Sti
the DVD nav is shown in 3 D motions
the triple gauges on the dash w/ huge meters is a must
the Sti boost gauge is .... welll....... i can't imagine my car w/o it
they might not be as fine as Defi but they blend in w/ the stock interior.... none of the supa fly look...
and yah
i want this....
what do you guys think of that? on a white STi w/ gun metal rims

RichiQY,
Any chance you could post a pic showing the STi 3-gauge cluster........I've been leaning towards three 52 mm Defis in a pod atop the dash. Problem is many pods either look too ricey, too cheap or don't match the interior trim....The Subaru WRX 3-gauge pod also needs "butchering" if you want to use it for anything other than the standard (46 mm ??) gauges.
Thanks.
P.S. Can anyone recommend an authorized Defi dealer who is accustomed to fitting these to WRXs, preferably NY state somewhere.......I suppose I could always get my local Subey dealer to do the install.....there goes the warranty and I've not even got the car yet !!
