I just came back from Herwaldt Subaru in Fresno and they guarenteed me MSRP with a $1000, 100% refundable, deposit. I got the thing on paper signned by the manager (which is the owner's son). I think I'm 5th or 7th on the list. I would problay get the car by December, unless someone in front of me drop out.

I believe a lot of people have guaranteed MSRP. I have a signed document with an MSRP guarantee as well. Some people already have guarantees under MSRP.

Volume, pure volume. Last I heard thier list was up to like 55 people. And if what they say is true, and the claim that SOA will distro STI's based on WRX sales holds, then VanBortel should get a decent amount more STI's than ur average dealer.

 

Van Bortel's waiting list is now way past 60.......I'm #53 and unless a lot of people drop off the list I wouldn't expect to see my car until early '04 (at best).....just wish I had been a little quicker out of the blocks.

V.B. do all their business this way on every model they sell.......large volumes with small profit margins......fantastic people to deal with.

only because i've got the cash ready to buy.
i also got a quote for 3,000 below msrp.
i bought my 99rs and my 03 wrx from the same guy

 

3k below MSRP!?! Then it must be nothin but cash....

 

$500 below MSRP and #2 on list......Can't wait till May; with refundable deposit.....

 

What dealership in NH if you don't mind me asking? I have a deposite down @ Exeter Subaru in Stratham @MSRP #3 on list though so chances are poor I'll actually get one.
