If you pre-ordered from a shady dealer like I did, you might be waiting for it until they can no longer sell them for over MSRP (or whatever your negotiated price was).

Blade, which dealer are you waiting for? I'm on the list at Carlsen in Redwood City. They told me mine might be on the 3rd or 4th allocation.

I'm from Oakland and I got an STi the day before yesterday from Albany Subaru. I know for a fact that they have a blue one with silver wheels for sale on the showroom floor. There is no waiting list, and I paid a few hundred over MSRP (don't ask how it happened but I couldn't resist). They were asking about 5000 over MSRP. Obviously, they can be talked down, but don't tell them I told you that. Additionally, I gave up my spot on the list at Livermore Subaru who is asking for a $1000 deposit plus MSRP so there should be an extra car there now. It was supposed to get there in about 4 weeks.

Folks there should not be any wait! I found one on the show room floor AT MSRP body color and wheel color as I had ordered at another dealer, who has not called me once to update the status of my order!
I will be picking the car up next week and getting my deposit back from the knuckle-head I let use my money since Feb '03!
