About those 2 and a half liters...

Is the STi motor basically a high-boost EJ25, or a larger EJ20 or EJ22, or something totally new? While most of us know an EJ25 will support ~450 hp done correctly, it's not really ideal for it. Which route did Subaru go?

I don't know the correlation between the new 2.5L block and the EJ20T but we're all pretty sure this new block has nothing to do with the current EJ25 block except for the displacement.

We'll probably learn more when it gets closer to release.
