2.0 vs. 2.5?

Sure you can! Bore out the engine. Sounds easy, but of course it isn't. I have heard of people boring out Skyline engines to 2.7l. The original engine as most of us know is 2.6l..

Well it all depends on how much of the chamber wall is left after the thing is bored out. If the Subaru engineering specs require a certain wall thickness around the cylinder to deter thermal distortion (chamber walls warping due to excessive heat), then no. Also, they'd have to use the 2.5l heads.

On the other hand, they can try going boring it out to 2.2l.

actually cobb has a 2.5 litre short block for the USDM WRX i'm thinking about doing a EJ20T swap for my rs and if i do am planning on getting the 2.5 short block
