Where to put amps?

I put my amps just above my spare tire. If you remove the stock tray, you can fab a solid board to mount a amp on. The complexity of the board is up to you.
I highly recommend bolting down the board. Make sure you can still get to the spare.

Just my two cents.

I will try to get some pics of mine.

Save $$$$$$

I once gave someone's friend a ride, they spilled some liquid on my floor. After some aggressive driving, the liquid made its way to my amp and blew it.
I guess it was kinda freakish occurence. Sucked, cause they never paid me for it.

Aloha

I'd go with under the seat.

Positives:
Shorter power
Shorter RCAs
Shorter runs to front speakers
Cooler (usually...if you run your A/C)
Cleaner install and you don't lose trunk space
More work to steal
A good way to take advantage of large amount of space provided by Subaru!

Negatives:
I guess people with small feet could kick it, but you shouldnt have any wires on the saide the mayc kick.
People might spill something.....but if thats really important to you, dont let anyone drink anything! haha
You might have problems fitting some floormats.

Well I hope that helps you....I know my amp(s) will be going under the seat(s).

one issue to consider is the fact that there is an air duct behind the driver's seat. I just got an amp and was considering installing it under the driver's seat, but i'm reconsidering since feeding it heat won't be good.

Plenty of heat in Hawaii....

You don't dont need heat in Hawaii. Just A/C.
I can't argue "Acarguy" on his points.
They are valid. That's why we all are entilted to choices and opinions.

I'll see if I can borrow the GF's digi and take a few pics of my trunk Install.
