Wagon sub project

Im building my wheel well into custom sub box, my question is, should i tap into front or rear speakers for subs? i want to say front because they sound alot more bassy than my rears, but im not sure what is best to tap into for bass?

What do you mean bassy? You're only taking the signal from the speakers to the amplifier to make the sub work. The amplifiers should have filters built in to allow you to have mid to lows, or just lows and you use your door speakers as mid to highs. Just curious, but why don't you just buy a new deck and be done with wire splicing for the stereo?

this has bad news written all over it. Please reconsider what you are doing.
idea -
kenwood DVD touch screen with IPOD controls and on screen interface, $350@ frys. Please do that instead of wasting time for crappy audio quality. Hell, I'll install it for ya no charge if you buy the beer.
