Heya,
question for anyone that knows.
Is the 13-pin navigational plug standard across brands?
Reason I'm asking is that I want to get this setup
Kenwood DDX7015 screen
http://www.hookedontronics.com/show_....jsp?cid=13415

and an Alpine NVE-N852A Nav unit
http://www.hookedontronics.com/show_...s.jsp?cid=1707
I want to make sure they'll work together and have full functionality
second question...anyone know a reason to go with a Kenwood nav unit over the Alpine?
thanks

If your planning on using the kenwood as the screen and the Alpine as the navigation, It would work. You have to get special adaptor from Alpine that convert there din plug to RCA. You have to make sure that the Kenwood unit have an RCA auxilary input. You also have to use the Alpine remote to control the navi. Between the Alpine Nav and the Kenwood nav. I like the Alpine better. Much more faster with more database. The good thing with going with the Kenwood would be the compatiblity with your headunit. No adator required. Good Luck.
