Depends how pickey you are. I don't like it cause the bass is weak. The sub under the passenger seat is no good. And I wanted an MP3 player. But, you are talking to someone who spent $2300 on a new system.

Nobody here will tell you it is "good" we are all a bunch of upitey little bastards. But if you like it, congrats.

I did see the factory speakers, before the upgrade, and they are a total joke. A ritz ******* would sound better.

 

I hear you, I got lucky cause I wanted the premium package and most of them come with the upgraded stereo package. Mine didn't though.

You can always keep the upgraded stereo and put it back in the car before you sell it. After all, a good stereo should last a while.

 

i have the upgraded stereo in my 04.im having a little problem though.i had a sub put in with an amp with line out converters to enahnce the sound.i noticed the chirp wasnt working anymore.(alarm).i took everything out and now its been to the dealer twice and it is still not fixed.getting back to your issue the stock stereo is ok i can live with it.

 

What does the upgraded stereo look like? What are the specs? I've never seen one. I opted for a base system since I'm close with the owner and family of a Auto Accessory store. I got my trusty Infinity BassLink subwoofer installed by their 15 year old son. He did a great job with the install. I've got the sub running through the head unit, which I will keep since its double-DIN.

 

ITs good for a stock stero, put it that way.
