i'm getting rid of my gas hog truck and buying an sti in about a month. my friend has a done up wrx, but has done nothing to the sound and it's absolutely horrible. i want to take the two 10 inch subs and a 10 inch 500 watt amp out of my truck and put them into the sti in a new smaller box. how much would this weight affect the performance of that car?
Probably not enough to worry about it unless you're racing, besides, having more weight in rear might help with the balance of the car.
3298 lbs (stock STi)/300=10.99 lbs/hp
3375 lbs (stock STi w/ subs and amp)/300=11.25 lbs/hp
Have heard that adding 100 lbs adds .1 seconds to quarter mile times
