Sub Help
Okay, let me start off by saying I have built 3 boxes and all my attempts so far have failed...horrible..Now to the point, I have 2 12" JLW6 powered by a 1200watt JBL amp. The problem I am having and its quite a big problem, is keep the box from moving. Even if the box is 100 pounds it still moves, and even when i make it as lite as i can no luck. So, I am wondering how ppl did their boxes keep from moving. I mean, when I bought a wrx I want to take courners faster then normal cars ( You know!) So This is a big problem. And I want to keep the spare in if you were thinking that already
. I am okay with fiberglass but would rather build a box. And I am against it but if i HAVE to i will buy a custom sub box for my JL's. Well now that that is over...Thanks if you can help, pictures/tutorials/helpful suggestions are more then welcome. Thank you!

omg dude just use backstraps. or use velcro on the bottom of the box. I prefer backstraps screwed to the back of the box, then to the trunk. Dont use long screws when u screw down. just use 3/4 inch or 1 inch should be fine.

Okay, Industrial velcro couldn't hold down my box put it that way. This box seriously weighs 50-60 pounds. I have used back straps that hold the box but its so heavy that its bending the trunk. So I am looking to more of a sub box design then anything, but thanks.
Had the same problem so i mounted L brakets with short screws into the box, and used bolts through the top of the L brakcet. Then through a beam at the front top (towards the backseats)part of the trunk... I bolted it going through an existing whole in the beam, with just a washer and socket. Held fine for a few months no and this is with 2 POLK 12's so their not light. Sorry but no pics at the moment. And if your lazy just take a 2X4 and cut it down to the length between the sub and the back of the trunk. Take a few pices of foam or something soft and shove it in there so its good and tight. Won't go anywhere if u get it good. Hope some of this helps...
