Sub and AMP (ALPINE)

Sub and AMP (ALPINE)
I just bought an Alpine MRP-M200 model amp online for about 120 bucks. I also purchased a Alpine Type S sub from my friend, brand new, for $100. My friends have all the wiring i need to set this up. My question to you fellow members is, will this sound decent? I am not expecting high quality sound for what I have spent on the "system". I have upgraded speakers through Subaru and I feel that they arnt too bad. I had my friend, who sold me the sub, put his sub in my trunk to hear what it would sound like. We both channeled into the same radio station and it sounded pretty decent. However, it was the radio. If i start to play rap, with a stock head unit and stock speaker, will it sound any good??? I am a newbie to audio since this is the first time I ever put money into a system...So please go easy on me.

i used to have my sub setup hooked up to my factory deck...it did the job, and it wasn't bad at all, but an aftermarket deck makes it a lot better...your system should sound very cleean though..alpine r types are GREAT subs...

your type s will sound fine. and that amp is good for it. but i think ur speakers will **** out on you b4 the sub does since the speakers cant go that loud becuz of the head unit. but anyways ur upgraded speakers should be mcintosh which is really good and the system should be enuff to pound your car. it would be better if you changed the deck and got some aftermakret speakers.

first you can't bridge a mono amp, that only works w/ multi-channel amps.
but as far as hooking up the amp best way to do is to use a line level converter behind the deck & run rca's to the amp in the trunk. A line level converter changes speaker wire to rca's.
otherwise get the signal from your rear speakers and use the line level input the amp...
