I'm glad you said any feedback because I don't have the specs.

Subaru advertised the factory system at 80 watts, but did not specify the output at a given distortion level or frequency. I'd assume that clean power is half of that, or 20 watts per channel.

I don't think you can damage quality speakers with too little power, but you might not be able to drive them loud enough with a clean signal.

The factory WRX CD system is not very good. I'm okay with it, but the sound quality is poor. Not sure if even upgraded speakers can fix it. It became really obvious to me when I rode in my friend's GMC Sierra (Duramax diesel). It has a Bose sound system and sounds nice.
