*edit* the line out convertor won't work for your ipod. It is an output not an input sorry about the confusion.

If you want to get the output from your Ipod into the stock deck, there are no input ports to connect to so an FM modulator is your only option. If the deck has a cassette player you can get a cassette adapter but the wiring is messy and it won't sound much better than the modulator. You may just want to consider ditching the factory deck and going aftermarket, both for better sound and an aux input.

that scoobymods link mentioned a pix where PBUS is one one of the pins.
here's a pioneer PBUS interface box for $55 that plugs into the the pioneer head unit and it simulates a cd changer.
this eliminates the making a silent CD and that it makes it appear as a cd changer:
