Anyone know if the sti comes pre-wired?

 

does that mean pre-wired for headunit only or speakers too?im the oldest owner of an sti in the world at 42 so im not really up on the current stereo scene! thanks silverfox1

 

Hey SilverFox, you're not the oldest STi owner by 10 years ! I'm 52, re-married with a 7 year-old daughter and another on the way.

BTW, I just sold my '01 ACS BMW M5, (every extra hp cost $1000's) and bought the STi as a fast little family car with the intent of adding a few more hp cheap, but as I'm finding out, maybe I shoulda bought an Evo instead??!!

 

well i guess im the second oldest sti owner in the world at 42!he he good for you steve!service manager at mastos subaru in tampa drives sti added cmplete exhaust and gained 28 hp on the dyno at the rear wheels. thats pretty good id say! I DROVE THE EVO TOO BEFORE I BOUGHT STI i do like the 5 speed better than the 6 because of longer gearing and fewer shifts but i liked the looks of the sti quite a bit more than the evo.seats in the evo were alot better i thought also!had to have that big hood scoop up front though!!its bad!! take care ! silverfox1

 

I drove the Evo before I bought the STi, liked it, but it seemed a little twitchy for every day driving. Lots more performance stuff out there forit, though, although I'm sure tuners will get going on the STi as soon as more are out there.
I'm pretty happy with the STi, but . . . it's not my M5, that's for sure !
At least we're getting younger, Silverfox, and not just sitting in our rockin' chairs !
