This is for you guys who put in a radio after you bought your sti. I'm just looking for some advice in regards to putting one in mine. I heard everything is already wired, is that true? Also what about the antenna, does it even need one? I'm really looking to see what you all have done with yours.

the antenna is built into the rear glass. there is an signal amplifier attached to it in the drivers side rear panel above the shoulder harness .
it is all connected into the factory audio wiring harness located behind the radio delete plate.
if you use univeral wiring harnesses (circuit city sells them) to plug in your radio/cd headunit , the antenna amplifier will be powered up automatically.
if you have to splice your wires , then you need to do what ds baruuuuu advises.
in addition the standard coaxial cable for the antenna is also located behind the delete plate and needs tbe plugged into your radio/cd/headunit .
and even though the factory wiring is in for the audio system,
the adaptors to attach the tweeters and anchors for attaching speaker screws to the door were not installed at the factory.
lots of installs have been painlessly and successfully done using
adaptors from http://www.iaperformance.com/ and the site has
instructions with pictures on door panel removal and speaker installation .
