Talking Speaker size dimensions

What are the Speaker size dimensions for the 02 WRX? I appologise in adavance if this has been asked 1000x.

Yes it has been asked 1000x before, but they are 6.5" in front and 4" in back. You'll need spacers for both though as the depth is shallow up front and the screw holes won't match up either. If you put 4" in the back you can easily make an adapter bracket by using the plastic trim around the stock speaker.

some 6.5 coaxils dont fit and the tweeter sticks out too much so you might want to watch taht too. i did 5 1/4 sepereates in the front and 4 inches in the back

I actually fit 6.5 in the front and 5.25 in the back with no problems at all... didn't need spacers or anything, I think it depends on what speakers you get.

babymike, what brand of speakers did you use?

Is it still with the stock head unit? If so is the sound quality improved?
