Out of the list you have i'll choose the Boston Acoustics then the JL Audio. I suggest you listen to all of them first before making a decision. I'm using the 165v2 focal speakers right now and i think they sound awesome for $250. Some other brands you want to consider are:
Diamond Audio S600s
Rainbow speakers
CDT speakers
Image Dynamics
Seas Lotus speakers
Scan-speak

Well the boston's are going to cost the most $ but they are probally worth it. If you don't want to spend that kind of cash you should check out the Infinity Kapa Perfect's .. about half the price and I cant tell the diference.

Rainbow? Aren't most of their speakers like $2k? Haaa.
I'd give the same order...I've had the JL6.5's. They are decent but I'd pick the boston's first.
Over all of those I'd say the CDT is an awesome thought..probably what I will choose. Super cheap online right now.
I almost got the DAudio 600s. Expensive but very very awesome.
I'd listen to whatever you can...a lot of it depends on tweater sound preference. I don't like a lot of really great speakers cause I hate tinny tweaters...I like warm. Like CDT or Diamond I like silk tweaters.

I've recently did some audtions for some of these speakers you have considered here: the following are my humble opinion.
75W clean power
Track 1: Jazz vocals
Track 2: Acoutic guitar
Track 3: Japanese pop and some rock music
MB Quart RCE 216: pretty decent overall, very good at adapting to different types of music, good ambience and sounds a little on the warm side. the tweeter seems a bit bright but might be able to tune it to improve the overall smoothness
Boston Acoustics Pro-6.5: very good at pop and rock music, the vocals are okay but not as natural as the MB Quart and JL audio. Transient response is slower than Quart and JL (especially when playing the acoustic guitar track.
JL X-series: very similar sounding to MB quart except the tweeter is not as bright as MB quart. Transient response is good and sounds natural with vocals and "real instruments". Pretty good with pop music too.
They are all pretty decent but I think with the price in mind I think MB quart and JL's are better value for money.
Of course, these are just my personal opinion. My wife and I like a wide variety of music so I look for speakers that does most music well rather than strong in say, bass performance.
