If Its The Same As 06 Sti You Can Fit 6.5" In The Front With A 1" Spacer Made Of Mdf Or Some Other Material. I Dont Use Rear Fill So I Couldnt Tell You.

The stock front speakers are 5-1/4". With spacers you can fit 6-1/2's in the front doors. The optional "upgrade" speakers are 6-1/2 and come with spacers which are not available separately, but you can buy aftermarket spacers or make your own.
In the rear, the stock door speakers are 4". You may be able to get 5-1/4's in there but nothing bigger.

Is this the same for the 06 WRX? are the factory speakers in it 5 1/4 in front and 4 in rear? Just want to make sure before I buy anything new. I googled it and couldn't find anything on the factory size. Thanks

Well with my factory speaker I didn't have to buy any spacers. I had gotten the upgrade speakers. But when I took the door apart it has like this mounting braket that is holding the stock speakers. take thoes out and you can fit 6 1/2 speakers. I have db6500 speakers from polk. no spacers neeed.

this is what i did go to to best buy and gt there spacers, 13$ plastics ones .5 inch worked great for the infinity reference comp i have. but put some dynamat down between the spacer and the door, just finished it yesterday, it sounds great.
i have an 06 and 6.5 fit in the front.
