Spacers

I am installing 6.5" speakers at the front and 5.25" at the back once I find the time this week. I need spacers and I'd rather make them myself.

What materials have you guys used to create your spacers and how thick?

Thanks!

MDF or higer density fiber board will work. Partical board will work in a bind as will just about any other wood. Seal it with some type of paint to keep water out of the wood. You may use the stock speaker as your template to trace from. It should get you in the right direction. Hope this info helps.

I used MDF, then wrapped it in fiberglass to be water proof.
