running amp lead to trunk

running amp lead to trunk

whats the best way to run the amp power to the trunk in the wagon... i think my biggest problem is getting from the battery to the interior... any help from amp installs would be appreciated. Especially pics or diagrams. Thanks

i installed a amp in my 04 rex and there is a rubber plug behund the carpet (under cluch pedal) i pulled that out and burned a hole through with a hot poker and pushed the wire through,you will have to investigate i dont have a wagon but its probabley the same,once your through run down the drivers side to thr rear

well i'll check tmw on the rubber plug by the clutch. The pics were great, but I'm still a little unclear about how you ran it to the battery. Did you run it all the way to the pickup as a seperate wire? thanks

I used the same rubber plug hole in my wagon. Snaked the 4 guage wire up with the use of rope, tape, a bent coathanger and a friend. Pretty much ran it straight up to the top of the engine compartment and zip tied it to avoid the hottest spots as it went straight forward to the battery. Just don't do what I did and push the rubber plug into the engine compartment, it landed on "shelf". My friend was able to reach up, feel around and with me looking from above with a flashlight and giving direction, finally got a hold of it. The wire then runs under the carpet along the side of the car, under the rear seat (had to remove the bottom) and to the back of my wagon (under the floor, had to carve the styrofoam though). I was surprised at how easy this was. Good luck.
