Costco here in the north Bay has once again received a shipment of Sensoro Radar Detectors.
It's a generic looking unit with all the bells and whistles and it's also cordless which is nice.
All my research never showed anything on this brand and I realy had my heart set on a V1, all my friends have 'em Damnit! But my wife thinks feeding our son and sending him to college are more important than a $400 detector.
I figured having this particular detector is better than none at all so I took the plunge. At $96.00 , it didn't hurt too bad and didn't even get a quip out of the wife.
My question...I know Costco has had these in the past so am I the only person on these boards to try one out?I'm not ashamed to admit I had to go the cheap route but it has to be better than nothing , so if anyone has a track record with this model , let me and others know because it seems to be a viable option until that beotch with a beard , Santa , finaly brings me a V1!(which he never will)

I say just save up for a V1. You will never regret getting one. I have had mine for like 5 years now and it works great since day one.

I got this one already, I had to get something .I'm on the freeway every day and my days are numbered. When I was a kid I could save up for stuff and buy it but now it's not that easy, I must answer to a higher authority, I've got the money ten times over , my brother , but you convince my wife that a $100 detector is any different from a $400 one and I'll worship you!And trust me ,testimonials , Mr. valentine's web site and lots of arguing later I guarantee you ,you will not be able to!
I was just curious as to whether anyone else had any experience with this detector or not since I can't find any info on it.
Costco gets em and sells out just as fast so I figure somebody has to like the damn thing.

Here it is, they had the Traveller model for $96, not a bad deal in a pinch unless it doesn't work!

My guess is that no radar detector is better than a bad radar detector. You'll train yourself to rely on the detector and most likely not be as observant of possible speedtraps. You'll think "hey the detector isn't picking anything up, I must be in the clear". The question then becomes whether or not the detector you picked up is any good or not. Maybe try a google search, eopinions, or carreview.com?

Well no luck on the epinions but this sunday on the way to auto fest it went off along with all the V1s and escorts that were in the group so I must say I am happy so far even though in talking to the guys those V1s let them know way ahead of where I was when mine went off. There is no doubt it is a beautiful and dependable piece of eq , definitely showing that you get what you pay for.
I will proceed with caution and see how it reacts to gauge how much I can trust it.
Thanks
