I just received an Escort radar detector. It is the Passport SP7 with shifters.

Anyone on here have this radar detector? Did you install it yourself? any helpfull tips about the install would be nice.

So finally got around to installing this.performance wise,there are hardly any false readings. I don't have any pictures beacause it mounts remotely and signals through a single led, which I put in the holes on the steering column where the fac. Turbo boost gauge went. There is also a audible warning that I spliced into the stereo so the warning is through the speakers. So far I love this radar detector
