I know that the front door on my 05 WRX is designed for 5.25" speakers and I know that you can install 6.5" speakers in them using a spacer. Has anybody installed the SPX-177R using the spacer provided by Alpine in the speaker package or did you have to get a third party spacer?

 

Built my own, but even then you are limited to just how deep the speaker can be. I remember the 177's being deep.
