Heard that this radio was in the new Scions so i thought i would check it out. look like a possible upgrade to a wrx 6 dash cd changer, is this a possible option for the wrx?
will it fit?
can you make it work?

any thoughts?

yes i wanted to know that as well, i can only imagine it would. for one it is stock in those new Scion things, and those things have blown up in the tuner scene lately. and for another it is made my pioneer so i would think they would have the sense to put rca out/in puts on it. i will looke around and see what i can find.

 

Eh, looks like it could fit in a 2DIN radio bezel. I wouldn't put something that said Scion in my Subaru however.

 

well that face plate is easily changed any color or graphic scheme you want, it the one on the stock wrx comes off to paint then that one can as well. very simple. but i do agree that "SCION" on the front would deffinetly have to go. Also i found out from the ebay seller that while this radio does not actually have any RCA's it has the options to run subs and amps, now if that is a SCION factory sub and amp combo or any sub amp combo he did not say. but it still looks as though it could be a possible option for the wrx or sti. I simply like the 6 disc indash changer of it all. that is my biggest gripe about most single din radios, great options great output, but at one cd at a time, i know i know that is what cd changersare for. then your dealing with cartridges to fill and your trunk or taking up the space in your glove box or under your seat were it may get wet or something. i like the idea of 6 CD's in the dash choose at will. but it does not seem that there are alot of options out there for that.

 

If it's a factory option, it may be thru a harness. Could actually be a low level signal but with proprietary connectors.
