Q: Outboard MP3 Player

Just curious, who is using an outboard MP3 player through their AUX input? I would appreciate hearing about your experiences.

Well i don't use an MP3 player, but i do use my palm pilot through an aux output for videos. The quality is as expected for using rca inputs, i would have to say for my kenwood KDC-X869, the quality is highly dependant on the input source.

I used to play my archos jukebox (20gig mp3 player) through my aux input on my kenwood x659. The sound wasnt too bad, but it wasnt as loud as a cd. I had to turn the volume up more for the same level of sound.

Can you go into more detail in this? What Palm & what type of video output did it provide?

I'm using a P3 800 as an mp3 player, it sets under my driver seat, a touch pad for control and a cheap 5.6 monitor on a composite line. Check out www.mp3car.com
