Operating range for Matrix 10.5

hello,

Does anyone have Clifford Matrix 10.5x installed on the car? If so, how's the range?

The operating range isn't that far as I thought it would be. I asked the shop where is the antena, they told me it's under the dash. My friend has a Viper alarm installed(forgot model) and there's a antena sticked on his windshield. I'm now sure if this is how this model was designed or there's something wrong.

Any thoughts or information regarding to this issue would be very appreciated.
Thank you

I have the 10.5

It's about 1k feet, and yes, your antenna, for the best range, should be on the inside of your windshield, I had mine placed just to the passenger-side of the rearview mirror.
