ok dumb question...

Unhappy ok dumb question...

i read in the owners manual that the hu plays mp3's....just cant exceed 225 folders...blah...blah. i burned an mp3 disc with like 300 songs just to test it, only like 600 megs and it will read it but wont produce any sound. and it wont skip past the first track. what did i do wrong? btw i have a 05 legacy. thanks so much.

did you finalize the disc? I know some CD players have problems trying to play unfinalized CDs

it doesnt give you the option to finalize when you burn as data. i am pretty sure thats how you burn the mp3 cd

Head units with MP3 capabilities are limited to certain models only.
Check to see if you have an MP3 symbol on your headunit.

are you just dragging and dropping the files into the folder in explorer? Or are you using a program. Windows determines whether or not it needs to finalize the disc by the amount of space used, therefore, unless you're filling the entire CD with MP3z, it won't finalize it. If you're using a program, look around...cuz it's in there somewhere. (=
