OEM subwoofer question
I decided to go with different setup.
I wanna get OEM subwoofer that goes under the seat.
Would you guys recommend it?
Does it come with AMP?
I usually listen to trance and techno so just need slight base

Im interested in one too! was it hard to install or was it just plug and play to the stock deck. and where did you get your sub for 80$ send me a LINK please!!!! and can you install 2???? one in the pass and one in the driver?
I have a 2009 WRX and will get the sub, but would like to know about it's internals and how it works with the HU. Read somewhere that the HU does a crossover thing after reseting for the installation. Is this correct?
If not, then is there a low pass at the sub instead of a crossover?
I know past units work more or less the same, but they have changed some thru the years. I would get the newest edition, so my questions are about it.

Yes its plug and play. Usually the oem subwoofer comes with the harness that plugs into the OEM deck throught the rear section. As far as running two oem subs, i believe you can. I remember reading it up on scoobymods.com and it basically piggy back of the 1st OEM subwoofer that directly connects to the OEM stock deck.
Under seat "sub" is a POS...I had one and could barely hear it once I went with a front comps + amp combo...no amount of EQing was gonna help it.
It is just not physically able to give you good sub output. There's even a dude on nabisco that put TWO of them in under both seats and he still says they sucked (he got them for free).
The only use for a OEM WRX/STi sub is to sell it to some noob who doesn't know how crappy it is.
