NEW Escort Passport 9500i
So escort's got a new one. Pretty sweet. I think I'll give the 8500 to the wife and pick one of these up real soon.

Valentine has quite a bit of competition. I actually just pruchased an RX65 Pro from Beltronics. I thought The Bel stuff was junk for the longest time. I couldn't have been more wrong. All you ever hear is Escort, Valentine. Noone ever mentions Beltronics. Particualrly the RX65 Pro. This detector is **** hot!!! I can't wait to get it. The Beltronics STi Driver is also an amazing detector. It is the only detector on the market that is completely invisible to RDD's(radar detector detectors). This makes it very handy for those who live in states where they are illegal or for professional drivers(truck). I'll be running the Bel and the Escort side by side as soon as I get one. I posted another thread with some great info on all of the top rated detectors.

SO I just went on my first long road trip with my RX65 Pro. A total of 1280miles. It performed flawlessly. This detector is every bit as good as they said it was. Leaps ahead of my 8500. I read a lot about the 9500i. There are a lot of bugs. Best bet it the Bel RX65, STi Driver, or the Valentine.
I own the Valentine with the latest upgrades, but has anyone here have any experience with the CHP LIDAR pointed at you while with one of these Detectors? Is your reaction time to react as bad as they say?
