ipod mountings in your car
so i am getting a new cd player deck in my car that i can put my ipod up too and i know someone out there has an original way to moun the thing in their car or hide it or something to keep it from slidding around and stuff so send me some pics or what u did so i can get some ideas

Those are the vehicle specific mounts for the impreza. You then attach (via screws that will be provided) the device holder.

The other option that is nice is to get the Forrester Din, and mod it to fit your car, then cut holes to pass through the i-pod adapter and it'll be nice and out of sight.

my car has a din (not sure 100% what it is) on my dash above the center air vents i havent had a chance to look but was thinking about putting a small hole in that and roting the wire into that and hooking it up that way. but i dont know how the air vents are routed around that or what not

i keep mine in my center armrest. just dremeled a little hole in there and ran the wire through from the head unit, under the shifter trim plastic. very clean, very sleeper

the alpine iva series units have a fullspeed ipod connection that lets you select songs by genre, artist, album, etc. i've got the iva-w200 and it's great. looks great in a wrx's double-din.
