Infinity BassLink in WRX Wagon?
I'm a noob with car stereo so sorry if this is a dumb question but was just wondering if the Infinity BassLink Sub will fit nicely into the Wagon? Does anyone have one fitted and if so was it easy to do?
I plan to upgrade the stock speakers front and rear plus the BassLink but keep the stock headunit, will this work well?
Thanks.

yes it will work fine. the infinity basslink might be hard to mount since the wagon has contours in the back but its good enough! the stock Hu will work fine. but if you upgrade speakers and plan on running them off the stock hu then your askin for it. your speakers will sound like ***. anyways if you do upgrade speakers get another amp and power them offa that. you can keep the stock hu if you want

I HIGHLY recommend the Basslink. I just put mine into the new WRX. I had one a while ago and it was stolen by some poorta ricans at a party. I bought another because I liked it so much. I know some people at an auto-shop and their 15 year old (friend's younger brother) son did the install. It's a very nice install, especially considering the kid is 15.
Whats wrong with having a sub running off the HU signal and then installing aftermarket speakers? It's not like the basslink is running off the HU's power.

no just that if you get aftermarket speakers and your running them off the stock hu then u might as well stick with the stock speakers.. since the aftermarket speakers take more juice then what is offered in the stock hu. the basslink will work fine with the stock hu. just a waste of money if you buy a speakers and run it off the stock hu since it wont sound much better then the stock speakers unless its amplified

Thanks Surfer.
I got a brand new Basslink today!
It's my 3rd one (DONT ASK)
So it's perfectly installed. I put the remote under the top of the glove box. I won't be using the remote much, but it's nice to have. My previous two didn't have that feature.

I got my Infinity BassLink X yesterday from my UPS guy. Where have all you guys mounted the thing? I have a 2002 WRX Sedan and wanted to put it behind the rear passenger side wheelwell, but it didn't fit as the BassLink instructions showed optimal mounting locations.
Any ideas?
