How can I play my iPod in my car?

Hey, I'm looking for a way to play my iPod in my car, which doesn't come equipped with an aux jack. I'm considering buying a new deck that has one, Pioneer preferably, but if there's a way that I don't have to buy a new one, I'm all for it. The wireless frequency ones suck for me, I want an aux option so it wouldn't have to find a station. Any suggestions or tips? Or ways to install just an aux jack in my 07 2.5i? I don't need a cd changer or a new sound system, just looking for an efficient way to play my iPod. Thanks!

Also, are stock stereos, for my car particularly, by Bose?

Thanks, I have been wondering the same thing for a while.

Did you install it yourself? Was it easy?

Yes I did, and it's very easy. It comes with very detailed instructions.

there are FM transmitters too, but the method above works best.

You could probably piece it together from Radio Shack(maybe), but this kit has everything you need specifically for your car and the ipod, and it's proven. It's well worth the $100.

Yeah, the FM transmitters suck. They sound like crap. With this you get CD quality because it's a line-level input.

Go buy yourself an Alpine head unit and the ipod cable and you are set. Thats what I have and I love it. You can control your ipod through the head unit.

Much cheaper to do this:

http://www.scoobymods.com/forums/showthread.php?t=5068

Change the tape thingy to a silent CD, and you just need a Radioshack headphone ext. cable with male on both ends, cut one of them to solder into the radio. Done.

Why it's better than jazzy:

1.You get to take your headunit almost completely apart and feel the wonder when you end up with extra screws.
2.It's a good bit louder (in my case at least) than the jazzy, but still more quiet than a CD.
3.Cheap!

Either way it's not going to be as good as getting a new head unit with a built-in aux in.

And I did try the jazzy thing, and since this was louder I am not using it. And if you get a charger with a line out from the ipod, have an adjustable line out converter from the head unit to an ext. amp and aftermarket speakers like me, you can get past that whole quiet problem and have a pretty nice "stock" setup.

Anyone with a 04 wrx want to buy off me the board nearly new with velcro and shrinkwrap intact?
