I just installed my type-1 today and it only partially works. The rpm's and speed readouts are ok, but the timer function itself does not work. Any ideas? I double checked the splice on the parking brake, and it seems to be ok. Im not sure about the connection to the unit itself, though...is it pretty much the same as the others?

 

Just a thought, but did you run the car hard before you shut it off. I would imagine it only leaves it running if the car requires idling time to cool off.

and btw...my 0-60 time is pathetic...i'd make a horrible drag racer : )

 

figured this out...the damn wire splice wasn't working out, so I just soddered it...much better!!
