Head Unit

OK, this is my first head unit I ever got. I want to put it in my '02 WRX. My question is I heard one of my friends say that I need to order a special piece from my subaru dealership in order to cover up the gap that's left, is this true? Is there a place online that I can order the piece? Also I have the premium sound system with the amp and sub, will I still be able to use them?

Yes you will still be able to use the AMP/SUB (its one unit BTW). It plugs into your stereo using a passthrough connection on the back.

For example, if you go to crutchfield, the sub will plug right into the custom wiring harness, which then plugs right into your new Head Unit.

OK, thanks everyone. I just have one other question for anyone who has ordered the kit form Crutchfield, it says it comes with several different things, is the piece that covers up the gap that's created included?

Yes, the piece that covers the gap(called a din pocket) is included. Crutchfield is great and i highly reccomend buying it from them especially since this is your first install.
