GRRRR!!! I finally blew my sub, suggestions!??
Well it finally happened. I blew my 10" aluminum eclipse sub. I was running it in 4 ohm off a 1600 watt sony amp, which produces 500 watts rms at 4 ohm, exactly what the sub is supposed to handle. I turned it up, and all of the sudden it cut out. I go to my trunk to find that the cone is pushed all the way out and i cant push it back in to regular...so, i was goign to upgrade my system adn this gives me the reason to do it...so far this is what I have.BTW 02 WRX
Sony Xplod CDX-M800 head unit
Diamond Audio CM3 6.5" coax in front door
Kicker 4" k40's in the rear doors
Alpine Type R 6.5" speakers in the rear deck lid
Kenwood 600watt amp running the alpines
Sony xplod 1600 watt amp
Sub........?
I want a single sub. I listen to mostly rap and hip hop. I really like the diamond m6 and diamond tdx. I was not too impressed by the jl w7, i personally like the w6 better(call me crazy) The other thing i was thinkign of was possible a rockford fosgate punch hx series i believe.
What do you guys think?

I've heard the diamond TDX's are amazing. I've also heard of people blowing out windows with them :P One of my friends is shopping around and thinking about getting one. He said something about it needing it's own special amp. I'm not sure, but the extra $$$ are a consideration.

So i may do an m6, my friend has 2 with a rockford 1501bd in his grand cherokee and hit 152.3 at the dash
And at normal levels they sound damn good. HOwever the tdx is supposed to sound better. The local stereo shop said $300 for an m6 and a slot ported box. Very good price I think. However, for $350 I can get the tdx....So thats my perdicament. Suggestions on that?

FUSION is probobly the biggest, most annoying and obnoxious booth at CES. The guys there are jerks and wont let you into the booth unless you have a special "Buyer" badge.

btw, i still stand behind my review that diamond audio products are of good quality. nothing has blown on me yet.
