Escort Solo S2 few week review
well, so far, so good. nice product! I was a touch hesitant about the battery life, but that has not been a concern: Ive had the unit now for 4 weeks and its only used 1/4 of its total battery power (according to the battery gauge on start-up). My normal daily run-time for the S2 has been about 3 hours a day, 7 days a week.
as for the radar detection, I now know where the X band hits are on my commute and dont even bother with them anymore, K is an occasional hit, never seen Ka, but I have recieved a laser hit. I think that the one laser hit has already made the detector pay for itsself.
the setup menus are really easy to use, but getting to them isnt- you have to hold down the mode button and either of the volume buttons at the same time- not the easiest maneuver.
there ya go! let me know what you think!

I've read that battery opperated units have a reduced band scanning time to save battery life vs when you have the cord plugged in. Does it say anything about that in the manual? I've always wondered about that.
