DVD Player

I finally saved up enough to buy a dvd player for my car and was leaning toward the all-in-one. Does anyone know which is a good brand/model? Willing to pay up to $2k.
P.S. does anyone know anything about the eclipse dvd player(is it good?)

Ebay. (yes I am dead serious. there are some VERY reliable vendors on Ebay and you can get stuff for roughly 50% of retail price, brand new with full warrenty)

I have an Eclipse 8022 DVD player in my car. Awesome picture quality! I went shopping at 3 different stores and compared all different brand names, price ranges, setup differences. This was by far the best thing I came across. The only thing, I had to buy an aftermarket amp with it as the one that comes with the Eclipse is too small to power interior speakers. The picture quality is day and night difference. It plays MP3's, DVD's, CDRW, CD's etc. I haven't tried DVDRW's yet, but I believe it does play that. I get compliments on it by anybody who sees it. The quality is better than some home TV's I have seen.

I went to a nearby audio store today to find out the price for a dvd player and the owner told me for the new eclipse dvd he's charging $2400 but he'll go low as $2300. But the for the alpine DVD player he's "only" charging $2200. I'm thinking rip off but besides does anyone think that eclipse is worth more than the alpine?

I would need to know model numbers to know for sure, but I can tell you that my Eclipse unit is 10 times better than any Alpine unit I saw. The clarity and picture quality is top grade!

I sell and repair both and historically Alpine has many more problems with the clutch mechanism. The Eclipse also sounds way better and has a better warranty. 3 year parts and labor and even 1 year theft. ESN is cool!

they were selling the Eclipse AV8533 for $2400... but i think that's kinda steep.

Does anyone know if Panasonic, Kenwood, or Pioneer is good?
Right now i'm leaning towards the Eclipse.

i have the clarion system and its the best system. i have own different ones but this one has it all. and you can get everything for about 2200. i have the tv unit and sirius unit with it. it plays all my dvd and mp3 and etc. but i love my sirius music. i get to listen to all types of music and some are introduced even before the regular stations play them.
