Anyone in need of adapters for 02-03 impreza?
I made a set of univeral trim rings a while ago and figured that I might as well make a few extra sets for other subi owners. If interested drop me a line via email audiforlife2001@yahoo.com since I don't check PMs.
All I know is that the factory speakers have much left to be desired, even the upgraded factory ones are weak in my opinion.

Hey you're East Coast Scooby on NASIOC aren't you?
I'll probably be emailing you soon about spacers since I'm planning on picking up a STi in July. Seeing as the STi doesn't come with a stereo installed but does have the stock wiring what would you (or anyone else) recommend for a simple basic system that is better than stock. I plan on using coaxils in the doors since I don't want to bother with the mounting of a tweeter since there probably is no bracket to mount the tweeter to. Also my goal is no cutting and just using the output from an aftermarket head unit. I want the installation to be as stock like as possible.
So what coaxils would be good without an amp, what size is good and how much spacing is required?
Thanks to anyone who posts to my questions.
(probably should have started a new post but this is more fun :P )

Yup, I'm east coast scooby on NASIOC. The name is to long for this forum though.
The new Sti may have locations in teh door panels for tweeters like our current Imprezas do. If they do not have tweeter brackets I can make an aluminum set for $5 and you're on your way I just don't prefer coax speakers, but they are easy to install.
I would suggest Infinity 6.5" coax or serperates if running off of deck power for the front doors. And some 5.25" coax in the rears. I'd suggest the reference line due to power levels of head units. They'll sound much better than any stock speaker.
