amp location

i have my 4ch amp under my passenger seat. i ordered sparco seats, and today i recieved the brackets/base for them, and i am looking at them. it seems to me that my amp is not going to fit under my passenger seat anymore.

i thought of putting the amp in the trunk, but my friend told me that i would get the engine whining noise. any ideas, suggestions. thanx

subaru's are all pretty quiet cars for engine noise and as long as your amp power and rca plugs are on seperate sides power on the left "batt side" & rca plugs on the right also make sure they dont cross paths

Yup. You won't get any whining noise if you run the power and the RCA's on seperate sides of the car.

I was too lazy/stupid to run the wires on different sides of the car but I guess I got lucky because I haven't noticed any whining noise. They run parallel all the way from the driver kick panel to the back part of my wagon. Even idiots get lucky on occasion.

Wires used: 4 gauge Memphis amp kit, Memphis RCA's
