recheck all connections...... like splices(i would solder instead of splices) and connectors(like back of head unit). and is it all new equipment(not second hand equipment)? make sure like wires not pinching anywhere..... if you have to remove the trim pieces to make sure its all good. hope this helps.

alright...i concluded that my amp is busted...i check all the freakin connections..nothing was touching metal whatsoever..and i sanded down the ground..the problem consisted...and at first i could hear sound then gradually no sound and then only the thump (power on) and silent (power off) then i disconnected the wires from harness and connect w/ hu and bam!..sound again...so i figured it was the amp problem...i got sick of fussing with it so i took out the amp and now im running just the hu w/ mb quarts 5'1/4"(front) and pioneer 6'1/2"(rear) and now i got another problem...the rear speakers are too thick and it sticks out so the door panel is not sealed tight..and so sometimes it would cut off...(no sound) while playing...and when i open the rear passenger door sound comes back..has this happened to any of you?? messing with the amp to speakers are PITA!!...do i need spacers?? will it help?? please help!! thanks

if the magnet in the back is too big...... then you probably going to need spacers. make sure the window doesnt hit the maget(speaker) when rolling down, i am not too sure about the sound cutting out...... it may be a connection problem when you push on door panel, probably looses connection. and and route the wires so it doesnt get caught in the window regulator. let me know.

*check wires-pinched, rubbing against things, maybe broken internally(use a OHM meter)*<OHM meter is always your best friend!

when ever there is pressure on the peaker it could be the terminals on the back of the woofer are touching metal and then not when you open the door. Check clearences.

Does the sound go out and not come back untill you turn off the car? Does it happen when you lock the doors? It is a longshot but I had a similar prob a few years ago with a sub amp instal...seems to have had something to do with the powerlocks on the car. I am no expert but the fix was a RCA convertor purchased at Radio Shack for a few dollars. It has been awhile but if I recall, the wires from the amp were then connected to the converter and then the Sub was connected. This fixed the problem. Hopw this helps...
