6.5inch dualable? (front)

I am looking to put in a set of 6.5'' focal speakers into my 04 wrx. I was wondering if this is possible. Mounting depth is 72mm. thanx

You need adapter/spacers since the stock speaker size is 5-1/4". You can either make them yourself or buy them from some dealers/vendors.
The factory upgrade speakers come with them as well, but unfortunately the adapters for those are not available separately. However if your car was already equipped with the upgrade speakers then you already have the adapters.
There are specs on the maximum depth you can use, I don't know them offhand but you can check the Crutchfield site. Their database is pretty good.

I have 6.5" mb quarts in the front of my car as well. I used a 3/4" thick spacer to keep them clear of the windows. I cut the spacers out of mdf with a circular cutting tool from craftsman.
