Moving to Phoenix Area... Got some Q's
What's up my SW Subaru Homeboys? (and girls?)
I'm moving from Norcal to the Phoenix Area (south phoenix/tempe area to be more exact) in the next few weeks. I'm only staying through the end of June, but I've got some questions for anyone that might be from the area.
1. What's the big phone/dsl company around there? What kind of turn around for setting DSL?
2. What kind of car laws? I can get away with all this crap (http://www.sfrench.org/subaru/member...p?number=59686) pretty safely in the little town I live in. Will cops be all over me?
3. Do you have helmet laws for bicycles? I'm going to try and ride my bike to school whenever the weather is good. Is riding a bike in this area even safe?!
4. What is the weather like between Jan - June? Will I need to bring my full hot/cold wardrobe?
Seems like I had more questions, but that's all I can think of at the moment. Thanks for any info.

Hey Scott welcome to AZ,
Don't know about turn around but, Qwest is probably the biggest DSL provider.
As far as laws and cops, as long as you're not drawing attention to yourself or have any lights going forward or backward that aren't red or amber, you'll be fine.
Not sure about the helmet law but there should probably be one cause it's not to safe. We don't have a very good public transit system so there are tons of cars and idiots.
It doesn't get too cold here (maybe low of 40's) but starting in about May it gets really hot and dry. I would say light winter cloths and in about April tanktop and shorts.
Have fun and play safe!

*Techically* I am coming from the Sac area, but I was born and raised in the bay area so I guess it's all the same.
