currently i am doing a couple roadway extensions out in oakley and also re doing some storm drain stuff in the city of el cerrito.

Yeah they are re-doing that section. The problem is that capacity will be increased by 50%, but by the time it is all finished (2006/2007) there will be roughly 75% more vehicles using that stretch. That was the prediction four years ago at least, so it may have changed. Though if that has changed, it's probably changed for the worse. Engineers like your self, and Cal Trans as a whole can't be blamed though, its the moronic Antioch City board that approves new developments without ensuring proper infastructure. I hate Antioch. What I will say though is that residents of Antioch have been paying a rather large BART tax for nearly 40 years and yet we STILL have no BART; thats FUBAR. Sorry for the rant... I'm cranky.
